Dog re-homing transaction - advice please!

Need some advise I’m wanting a pug puppy been looking everywhere for one under £500 (it’s very hard) and saw an advert with no price but an email address to message for more info, I then sent the below, the seller replied back to me but it all seems too good to be true. What do you all think???? I have got the money for this weekend but would like a little advise

Yes I have experience with puppies although not with pugs. I have had both dogs and cats through my life both while living with parents and living with my partner. My auntie also breeds French bulldogs so Ive had a lot of experience from that.

 

Although Ive not had a pug before Ive always wanted one and have gained lots of knowledge about them through reading and asking other owners.

 

My partner works full time so we have a lovely home and a regular income to ensure the pup gets what he needs and wants and I work part time so would be able to fully look after the pup.

 

Where abouts are you based? Also, I hope im not being cheeky and you do not have to answer but why so cheap? Most are approx £1000.

Just need a small rehoming fee of 200 pounds.

I an in Glasgow but will deliver the pug to you if you buy.

Sorry to be a pain but what is the difference between rehoming and selling? I am very interested but is there a catch in someway.

 

From my understanding, you have 100% Kc Reg Pug Puppies for sale (which you want to rehome) for £200 and are willing to deliver to Sheffield.

 

Is there any reason for the re-homing. Again, I’m so sorry to keep asking, I’m not a timewaster this is a general enquiry.

Well I will be travelling so I need good homes to rehome my puppies.

If I were to sell the price would have been much more higher than that.

Preferably male but obviously due to me not being able to get hold of the money for a week or 2 the female would be fine if the male has gone.

Unfortunately not, when I have the money I will have the full £200. Im going to ring round family tonight though to see if we can arrange it for before the end of the week. As soon as I get it together I will contact you ASAP to see what you still have left. Also just to confirm I will be paying cash on delivery obviously in this day and age you have to be careful or we could possibly use paypal if you have an account.

 

Would it be possible to see a pic of both pups and mum???

That's the dodgy bit in my opinion... Is he just trying to swindle you out of £100? Also what if the dog turns up on your doorstep and has for example breathing problems as many pugs do? Hmmm think you're right to be suspicious.

Have you seen the two pug x jack russells that have been advertised for rescue on here?

I wouldn't touch that with a bargepole. You'll send the £100, never see that again and never see a puppy.

 

Really you should be looking for a breeder where you can see the parents, at the very least you need to see the puppies with their mum. Never, ever just part with money from an ad.

Check the advert, see if seller is selling other puppies, I bet he/she has a number of adverts for different breeds all for £200.

i just placed an ad im looking for a sibe puppy after sadly losing ours and funnily enough have come across the same scam but for siberian huskies on numerous websites. there was actually a phone number on one of the ads who i contacted then spoke to the police, this is an on going scam the police officer i spoke to explained this and sadly people are falling trap to this
