Brian  Hi Brian,  The building in the background on your pic is in fact Jessop Saville offices. It was on the outside of a left bent from the angle of the shot, heading towards Meadowhall as can be seen on this shot taken just before demolition, which was in 1992. Compare the tower, on middle top of building, to your pic...  http://picturesheffield.com/frontend.php?action=zoomWindow&keywords=Ref_No_increment;EQUALS;v02575&prevUrl=  My late first wife was a telephonist in that building in the '60s.  Peter.  ---------- Post added 21-02-2017 at 22:54 ----------  Hi My wife's father and uncle worked there . Bill Ibbotson (deceased) and Peter Barrett  Hi Asaw,  I don't recognise the names, but Firth Browns was a massive place Would you know the time period your relatives worked there and the departments they worked in or gate numbers or the streets they were on ??  Regards, Peter. Then Thatcher wanted lots of men reduntant not sure what year that was when it stared. When i left Saville st in the lete 80s to be allicated to Hawke st Brightside there were about 2,000 included office staff. Brian.
