Local legend mixmif, of slopdosh bobbar and ivan crump / doobrie firkin and the battered fir burgers, rang me last night with news of the floods.

 

he gave me permission to post this classic picture of him enjoying the dandy in the old peace gardens, shefield 1986:

I used to be part of ROTT, alongside Jane Kitson and wossisname (argh - the depredations of time on the memory) who now reads the news for Radio Sheffield.

are you the origami champ who was in dig vis drill?

 

wossisname was mick lunney...i remember he produced a very funny sketch called zippy at the races. the whole thing was pointless and breached copyright, but i remember thinking at the time it was very, very funny!
