DIVA Â Â 10 #3 Posted March 19, 2009 http://www.timesspellingbee.co.uk/Â Give it a go, I got 13 out of 15. I was caught out by discreet and duct, but I thought they meant ducked... Â One of the most common words that people can't spell is ecstasy. Â I got one! It asked me spell "beach" so I spelled "beach" and it said that is incorrect, it's "beech". JenC Â Â 10 #4 Posted March 19, 2009 (edited) I scored 14/15. I got 'indolent' wrong and spelt it with an 'a' instead of an 'e'. Oh well, at least I know now. Â I'm probably one of the few people who likes to be corrected on their spelling. Edited March 19, 2009 by JenC
 Share this content via...
medusa   16 #5 Posted March 19, 2009 I was caught out by castellated the first time round, but some of the words are really hard to hear aren't they? In a real spelling bee you can ask them to repeat and you can at least tell the difference between a 'th', an 'm' and an 'n'. On one go I thought they asked for 'boon' or 'boom', but they were apparently asking for 'booth'.
 Share this content via...
natalie H Â Â 10 #6 Posted March 19, 2009 I got 11/15 then 14/15. The first time I also misheard a couple of words. I love it though, it's fun
 Share this content via...

HappyHoosier   10 #12 Posted March 19, 2009 Darn English accents! I kept mistaking the words being said. I should have used the hints.    But I got them all right -- three times in a row -- on the Multiple Choice.
 Share this content via...
