Saff   10 #14 Posted September 2, 2008 my granny's got an arrangement with her neighbours where if she hasn't drawn the curtains they should check on her. They all look after her in little ways like putting her bin out etc. which is lovely. That's right down in Cornwall.
 Share this content via...
LitleMermaid   10 #15 Posted September 2, 2008 Our next door neighbours are a young couple like us, they are very nice, but we've only ever had ten minute conversations in the back garden with them.  A couple of doors down are a married couple with two children who seem to have fallen in love with our brood of animals! It's really sweet, you'll hear a knock at the door and the little girl will be stood there looking like a mobile fruit stall-she's come to feed the guinea pigs:love:  I'm not the hugest child fan,as everyone who knows me is aware, but she's lovely, and anyone who likes my furries is ok by me:thumbsup:  Her mum is very nice too:)
 Share this content via...

LitleMermaid   10 #17 Posted September 2, 2008    We do that here too, not check up on them but we'll put each others bins out quite often.  Yeah sometimes the bin will be out on the street, and I'll think haddock's done it, but it'll be one of the neighbours! They bring it back in too, but I don't feel guilty 'cos we did it for them when they were away. Well. Haddock did it for them when they were away* I think it's lovely.  *There's a step then a corner into the gennel-there's no way I could manage to drag a full wheelie bin round there without upending it
 Share this content via...
