Person6 Â Â 10 #373 Posted July 9, 2017 (edited) Two images from Keith Pirt's book "Steam Memories: 1950's - 1960's SHEFFIELD" Â Both taken in October 1958. Â Notice the spotters, top right in the first photograph. I once bought a bag of broken biscuits from the shop over the road to eat while collecting numbers but as I climbed on to the spotters wall the bag split and the contents emptied down the embankment on the other side. Went hungry that morning. Â Â Â ---------- Post added 10-07-2017 at 16:56 ---------- Â Thats where i started my train spotting, i only lived down road opposite Durham Ox pub. Â What years were you active spotting? Edited July 10, 2017 by Person6 image hosting
 Share this content via...
