swordfish1 Â Â 10 #1 Posted December 4, 2007 Thinking of going in January with a few friends. Not into the waccy baccy (etc), so seem to be veering towards Hamburg. Anyone got any views on which is better for a group of lads on a boozy 4 days away?
 Share this content via...
UrbanCaveman   10 #2 Posted December 4, 2007 There's still plenty to do in Amsterdam without even setting foot in a coffeeshop.  Museums, the home of Heineken, great parks, the sex museum. It's not an entire city covered by a smoky cloud. I loved it, a liberal paradise.
 Share this content via...
brianthedog   10 #3 Posted December 4, 2007 Never been to Hamburg, but agree with the Caveman that there's plenty to do in Amsterdam that doesn't involve pot. Loads of very good lively bars - and the Heineken museum is interesting (finishes off in a big beer hall with free beer!). I love Amsterdam. ricky36 Â Â 11 #4 Posted December 4, 2007 been to both my preference would be Amsterdam the biggest reason would be that it is a lot cheaper both to get there and your money will go further in AMSTERDAM and if you are ging on a boozy weekend you wont remember much of the sites to be seen anyaway
 Share this content via...
jinnertomcat   10 #5 Posted December 4, 2007 Amsterdam every time for me. Just been for a week and had a riot. Great museums and architecture, casino is very good, loads of bars, redlight district, every kind of restuarant.  Hamburg I find a bit more sleazy or dirty or cheap in some way. No-one mentioned it yet on this thread, but the Red-Light district is a must see, and lots of bars in that area as well.
 Share this content via...
