Mr Prime
I'll let everyone know when I'm good and ready (I may even post the hearing date so that people can witness the proceedings). Only time will tell. I look forward to it. When you fail miserably don't be tempted to start lying again to impress us. Or do you really think that you have the clout to win? Obelix
Acknowledging that some people own a TV and not need a licence, or that some people simply don't own a TV full stop. Regrettably they have two positions, there are licenced TV owners and criminal evaders. That's all they consider to exist.

Mondeo Man
Why not? .................. Because, if you were an evader (not that I agree with such behaviour), answering the door to someone from TVL, wouldn't be a very clever move.
Mondeo Man
I guess the only solution is to lock yourself away and never answer the door, or install some CCTV just in case Or, you could do as I do, and deal with unknown callers through an upstairs window. Mondeo Man
Let's face it, the behaviour of the TVLA is not the hot topic in the pubs and living rooms across the land. It might be more of a hot topic in pubs and living rooms, if more people were licence free.
Mr Prime
I don't see why not. I did after all. Did you really? Go on then prove it. No, I believe you and if scuxz does then good for him if you have genuine grievances. You'll forgive me if I find talk of thugs hard to believe. I remember seeing them around student halls and they were usually short middle aged men in an anorak and tie, not a pair of bouncers.
dosxuk
It might be more of a hot topic in pubs and living rooms, if more people were licence free. Might distort one of the normal topics though - the "did you see xxx on TV last night?" - if nobody is watching TV.
Mondeo Man
but let's face it we are living in one of the most free societies on earth. You're not free to be left alone, if you are LLF. I wonder how people would feel, if DVLA operated in the same way, toward non-vehicle owners, as TVL do, toward non-TV owners
Obelix
You mean people may start talking about other things like the weather, politics, the film in the cinema, rose pruning techniques, the care and feeding of gerbils and rabbit farming (all of which featured in last nights pub conversations)
