  1. Thanks Danibabi & wickeddiscos but I need it for this weekend and not sure if there would be time to order it and have it delivered.
  2. Thanks DerbyTup, you've given me something to work with.
  3. Where can I buy a confetti gun in Sheffield? I've found a confetti canon but not a gun which is what I'm really after. I've tried Birthdays & bubbles on London Rd, Jesters and Party town on Eccy Rd, any more ideas? Thanks for your help in advance.
  4. I heard yesterday that Sweatshop's Saturday morning runs may be stopping due to lack of interest. I've been once every month or two for the last couple of years and really enjoy it, particularly as it's free and you can use the showers at The Source. Plus you can then be one of the first people into Meadowhall before it gets stupidly Saturday busy if you really have to go there. Be great if anyone else agrees this is worth saving and try to get some numbers going on a saturday morning, it's only 4.2km and good fun. Details are on their website: http://www.sweatshop.co.uk/timetrial.cfm?event=pages.info&shop_id=2
  5. We used Sheffield Information Link / Children's Information Service, it was great. We got lots of info about all the childminders and nurseries in several postcode areas. From the list we made visits to several nurseries and made our decision from our visits. I really think that is down to personal preference and you need to visit several so that you can make comparisons.
  6. I'm often up at that time with my baby boy, not 'cause of any exciting social life! My husband heard it too, maybe we are both sleep deprived.
  7. Did anyone else hear a noise that sounded like a submarine (you know the not quite bleeping noise that is always on the films)? It wouldn't have been loud enough to wake us but we were up anyway and had the window open. It was around 4am this morning around The Greenway area of Greenhill. Any suggestions as to what was?
  8. Nicola's yoga class on Tues mornings at 11am above the bounty furniture shop , you take your baby with you and she can lie on a blanket and 'watch' the mums doin yoga! She has a website but not sure of the address - look up yoga shala.
  9. Yep, it's happened to me. At Christmas I was sent a Oxfam donation as a gift with included a couple of magnets (quite heavy and chunky). When I got them there was no sign of the original envelope and it was in one of those Royal Mail plastic bag things. I hope the person who opened it felt very disappointed and guilty as it was for charity! Also my holiday tickets never turned up in the post, we had to phone the travel company and cancel the tickets and get them re-sent!
  10. Ooops, my poor pregnant brain may be letting me down here, in my diary I have a question mark by the word holiday! Will check it tomorrow at school if my little brain can remember.
  11. The first day of the October half term for 2007 is Monday 22nd October 2007. I know this because I am a primary school teacher and I am planning to be finishing for my maternity leave then (yeah)! I don't know if the secondary schools are the same. Hope this helps
  12. As a sometimes user that does not post too often I have found the forum invaluable over the last couple of days, cheers guys.
  13. We bought a matress and bed from Sleepmaster in the summer. The matress is topped with memory foam and it is beautiful to sleep on. The only bad thing is trying to get out in the morning!
  14. Best off going to a running shop and get a proper assessment on which type of trainer is best for you. The best shoe for you can all depend on how you run. The running shop in Atterclidde (can't remember their name) is always a good bet. I always stick with Adidas Supernova, but that is because I've had that model for 10 years or so now without a problem so why change.
  15. My gripe is the people that park in the drop off bays at supermarkets. You usually find it's idiots in Porsche Cayenne's or something similar who must think they are above the rest of us and don't have to walk across the car park. Does anyone else agree that supermarket car parks should separate 4x4's and normal cars in the car parks, and that the 4x4 zone should be furthest away from the store?
