Sounds just like my situation! I hate to think what would have happened if I had stopped out later. I could have come home to a horrific sight. Ive ordered the product above so hopefully when that arrives we have an additional safety measure.

Hi all Ive come home today and found that the parents had gone to bed with the hob left on unlit. I immediatley smelled gas when I walked in but a combination of dad being a heavy sleeper, and mum having a cold meant that no one was around to smell the gas. Im concerned as this isnt the first time this has happened, and so i googled for an audiable gas alarm. All i seem to get is "Carbon Monoxide" alarms, and CO detecors. Forgive my ignorance, but I thought that Carbon Monoxide was odourless? IF so this isnt what I want. Im looking for a domestic Natural Gas alarm, that will make a loud noise when it detecs that the gas has been left on. Can anyone help me?

Hey guys Ive got a bit of an issue and need the forums advice again! Hopefully this will go a little better than my last thread! I have known this chap in a professional capacity for a while (about 2 years). We've recently started seeing each other outside of this environment over the last few months, and i think ive fallen for him. He's aware of my liking of him, and isnt bothered, but my issue is this: He has recently got a girlfriend. This should fill me with joy, that a very good friend has found some happyness. However it has had the opposite affect. It's made me realise how lonley I am, and I guess this is due to the fact that my last relationship ended badly. Most of the time im happy by myself, but he goes on about his girlfriend and I cant help feeling a little jealous that he has got someone and I dont. So my question is: Relationsips - are they all they are cut out to be? Should I just be happy with my own company, or are relationships wonderful things to be sought after? Advice, as always welcome. Trolling, stupid comments and idiots, as always not welcome.

Why not buy a USB mobile broadband stick. Assuming its for your PC/Laptop. O2 do a pay as you go one for about £30 for the stick, then you just top it up as and when. Its £2 for 500Mb which lasts 24 hours.

That only shows domestic flights....

I just want to see in advance what we will be flying over, thats all! :-)

I find it hard to believe that this guy has "suddenly" seen the "error of his ways" and is willing to simply remove all the cameras he has clearly spend some time and money on. How did this transpire?

Me and my mate are off to Blackpool on Saturday night. I wanted to go and see the illuminations, so we will be stopping Saturday night, and spending the full day on Sunday there. Im looking for suggestions on what to do until nightfall when the illuminations come on? Cheers

I went for a day trip to Morocco. I wouldnt go back. It smelled, swage was running down the streets, and everywhere i turned people were trying to sell me women, elephants and cheap gifts.

If an employer overpays you, then i believe you are obligated to pay it back. A reasonable settlement is usually accepted. If they have not persued you after two weeks, then i would suggest you wrote them a letter telling them youve heard nothing from them and are considering the matter closed.

My current job is 2nd line support for an ISP, however we dont have to haver a detailed understanding of the network - we are more all rounders than focused on a specific area. However with everyone doing "Quad play" these days its only a matter of time before fixed-line telecoms comes in. Generally i just want to learn all i can about the world of networks and internet! I already have the TCP/IP book, but will check out the rest! Thanks for the reply!

I assisted a gentleman who broke down on the entry to a busy roundabout last week. He had run out of petrol in the most awkward place and was blocking one lane and causing total chaos. I got out and helped him to push his car to a safer location, and this had the added benefit of easing the traffic issues. I too was suprised by a number of things. - Firstly that no one came to help him in the first place until i worked my way up the queue. - Secondly, that the other road users carried on driving past us at speed, even when it was clear that we wanted to push the car accross lane 1 of the carrigeway. No one gave way, and we had to push the car into live traffic to get them to stop. - Thirdly, people still drove up to the rear of my car, and waited for me to move, before realising that my car wasn't moving anywhere soon. This was dispite flashing orange lights galore, and hazard lights on!! How unobservant can you get! Still, the gentleman concerned was most greatful and i left him at the side of the road to go and get some petrol.

I work in this industry at the moment, but feel that my knowledge is somewhat smaller than my colleagues, and so i want to read up on all things internet and telecoms related. Ive looked on Amazon and seen a couple of books that have got some pretty good reviews, but before i spend my hard-earned cash on them, I wanted to see if anyone here could recommend something?

Strange one. Our dog chews his back paw sometimes, but not to that extent.

There should be a key labelled "Fn" (could be blue, or orange), press and hold it and then on the top row of the keyboard there will be a logo on the F5 key. Press that and if it has wireless you should be able to toggle between on and off. It will usually tell you on the screen when you do it whether you are turning it on or off.

On Lenovo laptops, there is a weird looking Icon on the keyboard to turn on and off wireless. I'll try and find the keystrokes for you...

So all of the systems i use at work have gone down, except for the internet. My collagues and i are sat here in silence as we've never had to actually speak to each other before! What can i do to relieve the bordom?
