Hi I am registered on a salon forum where they do a thing called service swaps but its not very successfull as its like a world wide forum so I thought I would post on here to see what interest we had in sheffield. The idea is that you either state what you do and ask what people will swap for or you ask for a particual service and say you will swap its for whatever it is that you do. You also need to tell people if you are mobile or not. This doesnt just have to be beauty it can be other things, whatever people do. Finally I want to post a quick appology if this is in the wrong place I keep having things moved and I dont do it on purpose. Also I'm not even sure I am allowed to post this so sorry if not. I'll get us started I am a nail tech and do extensions or natural nails, not really sure what I would want to swap for yet I hope this works Laura

I like them prices are great and the food is usually nice as well they arent always that good though when its busy

Strix - I do the manicure with hand massage, cutical tidy, cutical oil, file and shape and then polish in what ever colour or design you want. Lolliew - I think thats the main thing with acrylic because they can be done thin and natural but some people do them thick. I do agree though that silk/fiberglass do always look more natural

Ye I do. Do you mean that you want them manicured and painted or that you want overlays on them. I am guessing you mean manicured, I charge £10 for that. My mums are like yours, I wish mine were you must be one of those lucky people

A sandwich shop that I sometimes go to has a special each day when they do lasagne, chilli, curry and things like that. They just do one though and that goes down really well.

Hi I just want to see what it is that people like best because I personally like Acrylic and so do most of my clients do. I just wanted to see if that was just because that is what people in sheffield prefered or if we had an even split. I also do fiberglass and I think I have only had about 2 people ask for those since is started. So whats your opinion?

I am a mobile nail tech so I can help with the nails, I charge £10 for a manicure but if you just wanted a file and polish it is only £6 Hope that helps

Hi thanks for all the ideas at the moment I am leaning towards ballroom dancing does any one know where I can do that as a total beginner where i don't need to take a partner?

I personally think its not the fault of carnage because if students wanna go out n get out of there face they will do it anyway. Its down the indivdual isnt it because the rest of people will just be going out to have a good night out

Hi, I did a post the other day about amature dramatics but most of those have to be attended 3 days a week which I cant attended every week because of uni commitments. So I was thinking about dancing now one day a week. The problem is that I am not that co-ordinated so I'll find it hard and I don't want to look an idiot in front of people that are really good. So does anyone have any ideas of where I should go or what dancing to do? I am from the S60 area but I am willing to travel. Thanks
