  1. Yes, in my experience, you have the CRB check once you have the job. If you do it yourself there is a cost I believe. What is the job for? GG
  2. Hi If you have not seen this already, all the information about Apprenticeships from the employers point of view is on the link. Hope it helps. It is also useful to hear the views of other employers and their experiences though so hopefully someone on the forum will be able to help. Thanks GG http://www.apprenticeships.org.uk/Employers.aspx
  3. Thanks for the information. Will make an appointment to go in. Cheers GG
  4. Have applied for a receptionist job and then spotted the amount of applications currently in for a job posted 3 days ago - 79 applications. The same job is also posted on other agency websites. Feel a bit despondent to say the least. I would be happy work as a temp to gain more experience and also give me a chance of being kept on. Thank you to everyone who has sent me names of online agencies. Are there agencies out there where I can meet people face to face, go on their books and then they contact me if any jobs come in at short notice. Thanks for advice GG
  5. Hi I have decided to pursue a career in office administration or/and reception work. Does anyone know of any recruitment agencies which specialise in admin roles please? Thanks GG

  8. Thanks for the advice Scozzie. I have checked out the sites you sent and A for Appointments seems very impressive in the fact that they want meet the employers and potential candidates to ensure they get a good match when sending their clients. They also offer interview advice and get feedback so clients can improve for next time. Thanks again for taking the time. GG
  9. Hi I live in Rotherham and want to join a recruitment agency where potential employers contact the agency to take on people on a short notice for temporary positions. I am wanting to experience different working environments so that I can improve my CV and I currently have a part time job (not much hours) worked on a rota basis which I want to keep on for now. Can anyone recommend such an agency? I am aware of agencies on the web such as fish4jobs but I think these are for people seeking full time positions. Am I right? Advice would be appreciated please? Thanks GG

  12. Hi I am coming to Odeon next Sunday and I gather I can get a discounted ticket from the box office for parking in the NCP. Does anyone know how much the ticket is discounted. As it stands, the car park will cost £9 so I would hope for a good discount for a night out at the cinema. Otherwise, can anyone suggest a car park nearby for cheaper thanks GG
  13. It's so dark like that because the clothes are so expensive.. it's sort of like, your not just paying for the clothes but your also paying for the atmosphere. If you think abbout it, if you walked into hollister and it was just the same as any other store like lit up and clothes just hung up.. you wouldnt spend as much as you do there. It's all about adding value
  14. Hey, I don't know if you have an age criteria for this but I'm a year 11 girl finishing school In about may. I have been looking for an acoustic band for a while. 15. if you update your iphone 3g to the IOS4. then it will most likely have trouble syncing. so just incase you've done this. the way to fix it is to restore the phone. Everything including texts will stay on the phone.
  16. Definately sort yourself out with a CV though. People will ALWAYS ask for a CV so better be prepared otherwise it'll be a bit embarrasing :L
  17. Sorry, didn't realise couldnt sell, have moved post
  18. Well if anyone ever decides that they want a Gibson Les Paul I have a les paul studio up for sale in alpine white with hardcase and softcase with several modifications such as seymour duncan zebra humbuckers(worth £70 each). 1996 model. They do not make les paul studios in this colour anymore Simply selling as i play acoustic more rather than electric its a great sounding guitar, it has a few paint scratch off's but if anything it gives the guitar character and shows its been well used. complete with strap and strap locks Willing to sell for £999 After internetting with all mods etc. it comes to about £1400 worth so you'd be gettnig a great deal. price for it also keeps going up so best get it before another increase in value PM if intersted, Gemma

Tina Wilcox, aged 49, went missing from her home in Morthen Road, Wickersley, in Rotherham some time between 10.30pm on Monday and 6am tuesday. Her son Matthew, 19, died in February. His body was found in a canal in Leeds - where he was a student - after a massive week-long search by friends and family. South Yorkshire Police have mounted a search for the Wickersley mum, who is thought to have left her house on foot. Possibly wearing jeans and a light coloured waterproof, also has been suggested she was in a yellow nightgown. Any information will be greatly appriciated. Thank you
  21. Sounds like a brilliant idea. Back to my original post, i can't believe that someone off here would arrange a meet with someone then sever all contact with no explanation. My daughter is still looking for weekend work. Thank you to everyone on here who has been so encouraging and helping her to move forward.
