Wow!.. thank you to every single person who has posted for the advice and helpful tips. I've taken it all on board, thanks. I took her to the doctors this morning and explained everything, the doctor did the usual checks and listened to her chest then told me she didn't think it was Asthma as it didn't sound like it reached the bottom of the lungs (something like that). She then prescribed an inhaler which you squirt into the mouth of the child and then place a breathing mask over the mouth for afew seconds. After doing this twice daily, usually at night time, but more if the cough gets worse she assured me it should work. If not, I will have to take her back in and they will prescribe a different inhaler.
