  1. Hi, I have left this far too late but my house is being sold and completion is set for next Monday. In my mind, I'd have taken a three piece sofa set to the waste disposal site this weekend but now realise they don't allow large vans onsite. I've put the sofas up on Freecycle and on here but if I don't shift them, I'll be stuck come Monday. Can anyone suggest what I can do if no-one decides to love them?! I checked with a local charity shop and they weren't interested. Thanks!
  2. Gases didn't cause the big bang, they came much later on. According to some models, it was the rapid heating and cooling of the 'quark-gluon' plasma that came first. Would it be folly to suggest that the quark-gluon plasma was in itself, God?
  3. I recently got a deal completely free for 12 months, on a 12 month contract! I'm really not sure how the company makes money but the phone arrived within a couple of days and I've not had any problems. With such deals, as long as you remember to send your bill in within the stipulated time limit, you should be ok. This is where I got mine from: http://www.phoneboxdirect.co.uk/ Hope that helps.
  4. Yup you can untag yourself but the photo won't itself be removed unless the person who created the album deletes it. Untagging it simply means that it won't show up in your profile photos. Play around with it and you'll see what I mean!
  5. When you view a photo of yourself that has been tagged, click on 'remove tag' and hey presto, you'll no longer have the photo associated with your profile anymore. Very useful, especially when friends take pictures while you're busting your best move on the dance floor.
  6. I am a huge stalkerbook (aka Facebook) addict! It's so good to keep in touch with friends on there, the only downside being the sometimes nasty photos people tag of you (which I normally 'un-tag'!). I've also recently found a friend who moved to Canada and I'd not seen or heard from since I was 13.
  7. Couldn't agree more. Civilian attacks are always wrong- hence I will continue to denounce Israeli aggression against the Palestinians just as much terrorist attacks on Israeli civilians. What I was responding to was the Firecracker's reply: "And the stupid Israeli-hating terrorist-loving PC eejits" It was as if s/he was insinuating that if one belongs to one camp, it automatically applies the rest as default- hence that Israel haters are terrorist lovers. Not that I hate anyone to be fair, I just think Israel doesn't act fairly in its dealings with the Palestinians.
  8. Excellent! thanks for those posts, I'll certainly keep an eye out for that book. There are some pretty good websites that point out things to avoid too.
  9. Very interesting. I meant more in terms of supporting trade in Palestine- I reckon they need all the help they can get.
  10. I don't at the moment. I'm open to the idea though, as long as it's a genuine article from Palestine.
  11. And no, I can confirm I am not an emo (disappointment all round).
  12. Why are you accusing those people who have a different viewpoint to you as being ‘oversensitive’? But for the record, I am not at all oversensitive; in fact I’m a happy individual who relishes living in a diverse society. The fact that you created a post entitled ‘Emo Taliban style scarfs- why? (sic)’ and wanted to be told about the basis of their appeal shows your disdain for them, and essentially my reply was that this can’t be done. No-one can make you like something you don’t like. Admittedly most of the rest of my reply was directed at ‘tonks&heffs’, and the outburst in town based on hugely narrow-minded views about a scarf somehow affiliating oneself to Bin Laden et al.
  13. Are you saying that criticising Israel equates to being a terrorist lover?
  14. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emo_%28slang%29 The link above will help those of you confused by what 'emo' actually is.
