  1. It just seems like a nice easy way to double profits, why offer any form of customer service when they can just charge you more than double - the idea you have collect your change from somewhere is stupid as it costs you even more to get your money back. If I had to get a bus now i wouldn't be able to give the correct change because I can't get hold of any. Cashpoints give notes and most don't give less than £10 so how am i meant to give change that I can't get until i've travelled on the bus/tram into town to visit a bank or shop that will give me change. I like the idea of public transport right up until the point I try using it, then I remember why the car was invented. Its expensive, unreliable and in some cases very dirty.
  2. Wow £40 for AIG last time I did it it was £120 for 3mx3m stall
  3. We are currently looking at a number of city centre venues the most likely being the town hall. I understand the comments about the price if your use to paying £15 for a table top in a local school but its a lot less than what you would pay for other art events such as art in the garden.
  4. If your correct and the we can't support any more people then we can't be asked to take more without extra resourses and time to develop our infrastructure. Perhaps it could lead to pressure being put on other countries with the ability to support a larger population to take more of those in need thus reducing the demand on us.
  5. Still finalising some of the details. But I'm hoping it will be on the 5&6th of december, 10-4 and cost £90-100 per space for two days. We hope to provide tables and that boards will be available for hire. Are there any other details anyone wants?
  6. Hi Wondering if there are any artists or crafts people interested in having stalls at an art open day/exhibition on the run up to christmas. The event will be the first week in December in the city centre and were hoping to have 30-50 artists and attract 3000+ visitors.
  7. Hello is it still available? It would be really useful to help work out some pattern designs
  8. Has the red deer closed down for good or is it just temporary?
  9. Thanks. My mum's set off now, so fingers crossed she'll get there (and back later) safely.
  10. Does anyone know what the situation's like around Doncaster today? My mum's due there for a late morning appointment (afternoon full of tests) but doesn't know whether it's safe to even set off. The hospital's number is constantly engaged. I'd be really grateful if anyone over that way can tell me what the roads are like, especially up the A1(M) to Warmsworth (J36?) then the A630 across to Doncaster Royal Infirmary (the route she's likely to take from where she is). Many thanks to anyone who can help!
  11. If you go to a tile shop and ask very nicely they may let you have any tiles which have been damaged in transport. If your lucky they might let you have them for free but even if they charge it should be at a discount. Other wise try any good indenpented tile shop and just buy a couple of any plain coloured tile you like.
  12. Hi what sort of things are you looking for?
  13. I might be interested, Is it mainly plain or patterned?
  14. Was thinking it would be nice to get some really good jewellery makers, a few bottles of wine and invite everyone to come and have a look and a laugh. But don't want it to but a waste of anyones time
  15. If you spray it thin even layers and let each layer dry before strating the next it should by ok. Just make sure all the areas you don't want spraying are covered up and your stencil is up to it.
  16. I was thinking about handmade jewellery direct from the maker not one of these companies where its more like an Ann Summers party and sells expensive tack. I imagined it would be cheaper to buy from the makers rather than a shop because there wouldn't be the mark up.
  17. I was just wondering if anyone has been to a jewellery party or hosted one or makes jewellery. I can't work out how popular they are or whether its a waste of time?
  18. You could just get copies made of the photo and stick them on to cards (would suggest double sided tape), this seems to be the way most photo cards are made in galleries, also if you have nice writing put where it was taken under the picture. Then try small card/gift shops (galleries tend not to so interested but you could try) also sell to friends and family especially if they work in offices and hopefully their friends will then want to buy and so on. I don't see why it should cost more than £10-20
  19. I wonder what we would do without the royal mail?
  20. You should try doing it yourself, as long as your tidy its simple and theres loads of info on the net
  21. I love a good revenge! Entering a very very boringly vain friend in to a beauty contest for drag queens was pretty gd. He was so dazed by it all we got him fully dragged out before he realised what was happening. Now when he starts showing off his pecks we like to show everyone his femine side :hihi: A friend of mine found out her ex was sleeping around about a month before they were meant to get married. She gave notice on their rented flat, left him with loads of bills and cleared their bank account (joint but she had been supporting him while he sat on his arse being a musician). He turned up at the church to find a group of confused family members and another couple getting married. His mum still hasn't forgiven him
