  1. yeah already had a look there, not got anything in the Used section that i want. Thanks for the suggestion though.
  2. What kind of lighting do you need? a company in Sheffield called Kinematic (the old SIF) rent out constant lighting, such as Blonde/Red Head kits which is more for video productions. http://www.kinematic.tv/ratecard.pdf other than that im not sure.
  3. I was bought a ACME camera bag which is fantastic, and i have a chunk of cash waiting to buy a new lens, i just cant decide what to buy...........
  4. I have a bit of money to spend on glass. Before i start looking at places like Ebay, does anyone on here have any lenses for sale. Looking for a wide angle lens or a 70-200, Canon fit. Thought it was worth a try.
  5. Go to drive across the Snake pass tonight, has anyone been over today and how was it? Thanks
  6. Garage responded saying it could need a new DPF filter! They are still not 100% so are having to take to a vauxhall garage because they can't get rid of the error code which says "cold"?? I have no idea what that means and by the sounds of it neither do they. Would the DPF filter cause the problems I'm having?
  7. Considering how cheap it can be to get prints done. I think i can get full colour A2 for about £6 per print, is it cheaper to print via a company or buy a printer?
  8. Yeah i read a few things about smoke coming out. there was no smoke at all and there still isnt when the engine is switched on. Does that mean the turbo hasnt broke? Unfortunately the car is in Wales and i wont be able to look at it until next week. But thanks for the suggestions, it definitely all helps!
  9. 56 plate, 34k, daily commute to barnsley from sheffield and general round town driving. thanks for the suggestion, i'll look into that.
  10. My wife drove this car down to wales yesterday, during the journey she said the car lost power, she was ok on the motorway whilst maintaining her speed, but when she slowed down she struggled to get the car back up to speed. She said the turno stopped working, which usually kicked in at 2k revs. Now obvioulsy my first thought is that the Turbo is the fault, but does anyone else have a vauxhall or a meriva who may have had the similar problem. Unfortunately she is now out of the country for a week so we wont be sending it to a mechanic until then, so i thought i could do a bit of investigative work to see what the problem may be other than turbo fault. Ta.
  11. Brilliant reply! Thank you very much for your help, I shall get hunting!
  12. I would like to make my own Wreath for my door. I have found loads of information online as to how to make one, but the question is where to i find the foliage to make it? and what exactly do i need? Can anyone give me some suggestions?
  13. Hi Trev, first of all congratulations on the new born! Im just starting out as a photographer and so may be able to help you out. Ive done a few baby shoots and have just done a baby and family shoot for a lady on here.. I would charge £50 for one hour shoot and you would normally end up with about 50-60 photos. All images would be fully edited and ready for print. Ive just built a website which is not quite ready yet, but so you can see what kind of images i produce i'll add the link, i'll also send you my Flickr account to see more of my images. if you are interested send me a message or contact me from the details on the webpage. Thank you Gareth http://www.fable-photography.co.uk http://www.flickr.com/photos/mishmashimages/
  14. I suppose this was one of my concerns, we may all want slightly different lighting arrangements so im not sure how that would work? I would probably bring my own strobe/softbox and triggers, but that will clash with another persons shoot. So we would all ideally need individual slots to do our own thing but 15 mins simply isnt long enough. I agree smaller groups would probably work better which would obviously increase the cost.
  15. ive also been looking into this recently - apart from LR. Can you name any of these specialist software? ive not tried this with LR yet, does it take a while for the image to show up on screen?
  16. Im struggling for next week as i alredy have a few shoots booked in. How is the lighting going to work? do we bring our own strobes/softboxes etc?
  17. I would want to use a few images from this potential shoot for my portfolio, and glamour isnt my thing. But fully clothed would be great - i see this is an option so I would consider being involved if thats an option. Is it possible to see portfolio's of the girls before signing up? Again to see if they will fit into my portfolio and also to get an idea on what and how i would like to shoot. Thanks
  18. Sounds like a good idea and I may be interested in this, although i dont really want Glamour models on my portfolio, is this purely a Glamour model shoot?
  19. i could also be interested in this. photos and more details of costs would be great! thanks
  20. So is it a SWFC favoured pub or SUFC, i couldnt quite work out who the locals were? or is it neither?
  21. I actually saw that happen, was quite violent and completely out of control! The police turned up and did..............nothing, they didnt even go looking for the hooligans that ran away.
  22. I have read about something similar recently, google the lens issue if you havent already. Some lenses do unfortunately have compatability issues with some bodies. But if it has a fault then the ebayer should just exchange it for another. Sorry cant lend you a EOS.
  23. If the pro is good enough then yes! I recently got married and the photographer we used was fantastic, an amteur would not be able to produce the photos we received. We chose him based on his style not his price. But I have seen wedding photos from pros that are rubbish. Basically if you want a good photographer do your research first.
  24. Forget IKEA, its all about made.com great concept for a business and great furniture too. has anyone used this site yet?
