  1. I found some Maxell cassettes in a 5 pack in Maplin for £10.99 but these seem to be rather naff quality and not suitable for archive recording and storage. They barely sound good enough in my car which is annoying as I have a good high end cassette radio unit fitted. Anyone know who still sells chrome or metal cassettes, any decent brand. I tried high street stores I used to buy tapes, ie Boots, Smiths, Curry's, etc, but nothing at all.....very odd. Tried online and can only find those cheap Maxell ferro cassettes which are not the highest quality.
  2. Yeah I pay £18 which appears to inc unlimited tethering as well
  3. I thought this too but it speed tests at 34 mbs download which is about usual for 4g where I am. The only thing that runs very slow are torrent downloads, restricted back to 2 mbs max but I think they do this across the board during the day for p2p.
  4. I was just wondering if it was a one off or a common experience for 3 users. Maybe they simply don't care about a few additional GB's. After all there is no extra charges for data at all so why be strict about it as they cant get any more money if u go over.
  5. Indeed its not easy choice of career and never has been. In my experience of many pubs and clubs over the last 4 decades its all down to word of mouth for DJ jobs....if a promoter or manager wants a DJ they will usually have someone specific in mind and approach you directly, but of course you have to be known. Best way to start is in a bar as a warm up for someone else (which is what I did all those years ago) but the competition can be very fierce.
  6. yes which is why they changed it to restricted tethering but my point is they are not enforcing this restriction it appears so anyone can go over the limit and nothing happens, no extra charges, no ERROR messages and no warning messages....just puzzling
  7. The One plan was originally designed for unlimited data + tethering so there should be space for everyone. I get a constant download speed of 42 mbs on 4g implying lots of headroom on my local mast?
  8. I am on 3 on the 4g network and been moved from the unlimited tethering one plan to the restricted plan last November that allows apparently only 4GB tethering per month. My question is why do they claim tethering is restricted when it is not? They made such a fuss about the end to all unlimited tethering but it does not apply at all. I used more than 4GB tethering over the last month and my 3 control panel online STILL says 4 GB tethering remaining and a 4GB limit. They dont actually appear to be measuring it all so does anyone else have this 'bonus'? I have tethered without any circumvention or VPN using just a normal USB lead to my laptop running Windows 8.1. I ask if this is a common experience or have 3 completely reversed their restricted tethering and gone back to unlimited? No information to this effect online.....
  9. And now in January 2016 can anyone tell me the BEST BB deal on fibre where no current active phone line but a physical line exists. I know some charge new line fees so anyone who knows the ropes for all the options please detail in replies. I am in Stannington and just checked and fibre optic is now available at my local 'box' on the corner apparently. So looking for the best deal preferably with no set up fees or new line charges.....
  10. I installed windows 10 upgrade on my laptop and it didnt work on its final reboot after installing... then the machine would not boot at all. I was forced to reboot from an old windows 8 recovery disk and re-install windows 8.....what a waste of a day
  11. Am I the ONLY one on here still using a VHS machine to record timeshift TV? I wonder....most look at me when I use the phrase 'VHS' and have no idea what I am talking about. The pic and sound quality from a top range Super VHS machine connected to a Freeview box for recording is in fact, excellent....

  13. Yes it is, quite dreadful food at premium prices
  14. sounds like what I need really. Most of the media players designed for TV's I can find have sound via the HDMI or a very basic analogue audio out which is not what I want.
  15. I want to buy a USB media player that will connect up to my home cinema projection system. I have found some media players on Amazon but they all seem to be designed to feed TV sets, with the audio fed through the HDMI cable like the video signal. My system requires video via HDMI but audio via an optical or digital input, like the standard optical output on a blue ray player. Can anyone find me a USB media player that will give an optical sound feed, or at least a digital audio output
  16. Whats the ale on offer? Not walked up there for a while....
  17. I have Windows 10 and it seems fine. Like the layout, although the revised 'start menu' is nothing like that of Windows 7
  18. I tried connecting a 64GB USB3 mem stick to my phone with an OTG lead, it was not recognized at all. However my phone recognizes and writes to an older 4GB USB stick with the same lead. Just wondering does Android (Sony Xperia Z3) support USB3 mem sticks or just not wanna recognize larger USB sticks? Any idea what is the max it will work with?
  19. Can anyone recommend a decent garage that doesn't charge you fifty quid just to open your bonnet. Looking for a service and not wanting to pay out a fortune... West side of town ideally
  20. Tramlines has been rubbish ever since 2010 and Echo and the Bunnymen were the headlining act...and FREE. It has become a greedy corporate festival now. It now is TOO big for a city centre free or otherwise festival and needs to be taken right out into an open space area where it can be run properly with everything in one place. Move the whole show to Rother Valley Park at least, or maybe Chatsworth Park, run it as a proper festival and not the fragmented some venues free some not system it now is. ---------- Post added 30-07-2015 at 10:48 ---------- Yes very badly run and organized is what most people are saying. It needs to now be MOVED to a large park and become more of a trad fesival set up....Sheffield as a city can not cope with this sort of annual event if it continued to grow at its present rate...
  21. Excuse me, I have an appointment with a client for two hour session. One of my regulars in fact for the last 13 years. Have a nice day Sir.
  22. You can take courses in card reading all over the world yes. But that proves very little of course these days. The answer is who is still practising and has been for decades......same as lawyers, one who has been in business in 37 years is hardly likely to be a fake as he would have been exposed already. A Tarot reading is a unique personal experience. Take it from me, YOU WILL KNOW if a reading is genuine or not, because the level of detail you will receive is something that could not possibly have been guessed at, and is so specific that is could not be a fake reading. The detail is about YOU, and stuff about your life that the reader could not possibly have known or guessed....it is THAT SPECIFIC. There is no space for 'generic' readings......the true reader will provide enough detail about you to actually frighten you how accurate it is. Beware of readers doing it for a fiver, you wont get anything but generics....I charge fees based on my accuracy and specifics and experience, and this is another factor is weeding out the fakes.
  23. I do urge posters on here to study in depth the history of the Tarot. Yes they are connected with the original 'playing cards' but not in the way suggested on here. 'Occultists' do not sell Tarot cards, most decks are mass produced by large publishing houses, ie US Games Systems publishes many many decks. While a few decks MAY have originated from 'Occultists', like the Crowley deck for example, these are very few and far between, and were never actually sold or published by the originators. The Crowley deck was created decades before it was actually finally published in 1969 by a publishing house.
  24. A good reading SHOULD be 'entertaining' yes, without any fakeness or scam. But it is NOT a side show trick you will find like a Paul Daniels magic show, etc. It is a very real and personal experience which has helped millions of people throughout the centuries. I assure you I would not have made money for the last 37 years from the Tarot if I was a phoney. No one can spoof a profession for that amount of time. I offer a genuine and complete experience of the cards with psychic insight. This is no 'table knocking' scam with tape recorded sound effects that has ruined the reputation of psychic mediums and various related areas over the years, this is real. I urge you to take a real reading with a professional. You will be convinced I assure you. Any would be scammers take heed, you WONT survive very long, probably not beyond one 'reading' in fact.... try being a fake lawyer you might last a couple of weeks if you lucky.
