On the way home on the tram today, I heard two passengers talking, who I think worked for the Sheffield Council, something to do with the Property team. They were saying that their Senior Manager's have put together proposals to reduce a large number of their front line support staff who support various buildings within the councils control, but at the same time the 3 Senior Managers were going to be moved up a grade, resulting in £6,000 pay rise each. Looks like more poor services to come from Sheffield City Council. I know a number of people who have received Court Summons in error because of the insufficient resources in the Council Tax Department. I recently had to ring them up and had to wait in the phone queue for 40 mins before I got to speak to someone.

I bet one day congestion charge will also reach Sheffield. I can understand giving priority to buses during peak hours, but is it really needed 24/7. Imagine if CCTV could be used all over Sheffield, the Council will not need any funding from anything else, the fines from driving/parking contraventions will raise more capital than what comes from Council Tax.

After your comments, I went there today, there is a break in the double yellows from the side of the mosque building, all the way passed Turner's. If someone gets a ticket there and challenges it, there is no way the council will able to win if the case went to court. I don't need my eyes testing and you need to keep your comments related to the topic rather than making them into personal insults.

The short length that run on the junction to Queens Road are that badly worn out that they are almost invisible. I think the Double Lines need to be refreshed before they will be enforceable.

I believe that the Admin staff there are currently in the process of being moved from Sheffield City Council to Capita and the staff are going through a rough time, hence the poor services.

What really pees me off is when people place them rocks on the grass verges. When it snowed heavy a few years ago, I was walking a long ringinglow road and I tripped over on the rock. It was all covered with snow and I ended up hurting myself when I fell. If I wasn't in so much pain, I would have knocked the persons door whose house they were outside and given them a peace of my mind.
