  1. To be honest I totally agree with Chez2. If a business is small and the records and information kept well then being charged £600 doesn't mean they will receive a poor or under-par service. I have some limited companies that I prepare the accounts for at £400 and as much effort and commitment go into preparing those accounts as they do with the companies at £2000, it's just the level of work needed (as they are a small company) is not as great. I make as much human contact as possible and am always available to clients when needed. To answer the original post I agree with the majority of posters on this thread that having an accountant will almost certainly save you money and help you make better financial and tax efficient decisions. The benefits far outweigh the costs.
  2. As simple as this advice may sound, invest in something your have a passion for or are qualified at / know the sector well. It is easy nowadays to get information from others on just about everything, but actually having first hand knowledge on the product or service you decide to promote is key IMO.
  3. VERY sad news. Im an accountant who tries to get business on here myself and even though we were in effect competitors, we still had conversations and he was a very nice and genuine man from what little I know of him.
  4. I think Lowton would be a real big miss, even for the money.
  5. I would love us to get Powell, even on loan after being bought by a bigger club.
  6. What is parking like at Pure Gym with it being in the centre of town?
