Privet hedges remind me of council estates, you do not see it at the posher end of Sheffield.

You still see it at the posher end Sheffield, I was at Totley earlier today and its got loads of Privet?

Leylandii is a conifer.

I think privet is part of the Oleaceae Family...Genus Ligustrum

it's "mucky" stuff, IMO...I'd much rather have a wall, or a fence than a privet hedge.

takes a heck of a lot less maintenance, that's for sure.

Yeah but all those posh folk in Ecclesall and Whirlow swear by their Privet hedges.. :D

And no, that's not trolling, if I had intended to troll I would've put the H in Ecclesall ;)

I posted a thread not long ago about how much I hated privet, ours is coming out pretty soon, sick of it, plus spiders keep spinning webs right across it right where we have to walk, hate the stuff it wants burning, the lot!
