Where To Live In South Yorkshire Based On Work And Family?

Good afternoon all! 

 

Looking for recommendations on areas in South Yorkshire to move to based on:

I work in Wakefield 

My partner works in Sheffield city centre

My parents are in Halfway. His are in Aston. 

 

We like places that have easy access to nice walks but also needs to be close enough to family and near the M1 for my commute. Looking at around £400k. We were considering Todwick but would appreciate any suggestions!

Have a look at Waverley, my son lives there and it's a lovely new estate, with a Morrisons and Boundary Mills within walking distance. Also within walking distance of Handsworth where there is a bus every 10 minutes or so into Sheffield town centre.

no that's Catliffe, Waverley is a lot higher up than the river.

Sounds like Aston, Swallownest, Waverley, Sothall, Beighton etc  would make the most sense
