A Tale Of Two Social Clubs

I drive up City Rd most Sunday mornings. Hoards of people stood outside the club there at half 11 on a Sunday morning.

Bit common, imo.

I judge people on how they are in person, rather than driving past them.

I've mixed with the people with nothing, to the people that will never want for anything. IMO, the 'bit common' people have more often than not, turned out to be the more genuine.

I mean it's a bit common. Hope that helps.

Don't be too Middle Class now!

Heaven forbid!

You'll be severely sneered at.

I believe so. Plenty of 'maybe's' about what will be done with it. Only my opinion, I think it's had its day as a club or pub.

At one time it did...a good few years ago. As a kid, my aunty lived on Queen Mary Rd. I think there was 4 clubs on City Rd? A sign of the times in both money and what people prefer for a day/night out. Social clubs aren't for everyone.

I don't know. It's not a club I've been in for a long time.

Unsure as to why someone said it "does well" when its been closed a while.

Its sad to see any pub or club close.

Regardless of whether it caters for the Working Classes or the Middle Classes 🙄
