Do You Recognise This Man - 'Brian Wallace'

Recommended Posts

We are relooking into the case of ‘Brian Wallace’, who was fatally struck by a vehicle in London in January 2015 again - he told his London friends he had a link to the Sheffield area, and a family / children he had lost contact with – can you help trace his family or friends?

He was white, about 172cm (5ft 7ins) tall, and aged between about 50 and 70. He had grey hair and a moustache.

Original reports in 2015 revealed that the man had a Northern accent, and that he told locals he had family in the Sheffield area. It is also suggested that he mentioned children with whom he had lost touch.

At the time of his death, no identifying documents were found on his person, and the only numbers on his phone were for work contacts. Police believe he was living near the scene of the collision under the name of ‘Brian Wallace’ and had worked as a local builder for many years.

After our flyering appeal in London last week, we met some men from Sheffield who recommended we repost the appeal on this forum. Can anyone on this forum help us, or share it with your friends and family, in the hope we can find answers?

Thanks @cuttsie, we have managed to trace the boat but unfortunately this didn't result in any answers as it wasn't his boat.

Are you sure about the spelling? Could he have been Brian Wallis for example?

Hi @metalmanhe could well have been Brian Wallis indeed, we have explored multiple spellings, including Bryan. We also do not know for sure that this is his name.

There was a Brian Wallace in W. Yorkshire, a keen semi-professional historian and archive researcher.

Hi Jeffrey - thanks for your reply, that's very interesting.

@Jeffrey Shaw Hi Jeffrey - I passaed this to the team who have asked if you are able to share any further details with us about the man you have referenced, that would allow us to explore this further?

I edited it to remove the question I asked.

I'd not properly read the op 👍
