Wire Mill Dam Info?

Hi all,

 

Had a walk round wire mill dam other day and they was a fair few decent fish topping. However I've read good and bad reports of this place.

 

can you still fish it? If so, is they anyone i need to contact?

Not fished it for a while, but there was a few fishing it other day so still being fished. Bailiff came round last time I was there, very informative bloke regards the venue forgot his name. Its quite silty towards the top end  further down to where the liliy pads are is where the bigger fish are. I've had many a good day there, give it a go

I fished this pond tonight. Well from 6.00 until i couldn't see the float. I fished to te side of the lily patch in the middle of the pond with sweetcorn laid on te bottom. Its only about two and a half feet deep. I started with maggots but was blighted by perch. Nothing wrong with them but i was looking for larger fish. 

I had eight nice crusian carp and four roach up to 8 oz. Not a bad session. 

 

Anyone know if there are any bream in it?

A bit late but I emailed the council a couple of days ago to see who they sold the fishing rights to, If it's like last time I won't get an answer for a few weeks 😑
