the_mandarin
I need some advice on the best option to get some identity documents (Passport/Licence) certified in S6 or nearby. The documents need to be submitted to a Bank, who have specified that the certification should be done by "A Solicitor, Lawyer, Licenced Conveyancer, Barrister, Commissioner For Oaths, Chartered Legal Executive, Notary, Chartered Accountant, Member of Parliament, Member of the Judiciary, Independent Financial Advisor, Dentist, Medical Doctor, Nurse, Optician and Pharmacist" Not really keen to approach a lawyer as I am sure there will be considerable charges involved. Any advice?
dragoness
If you have neighbour who is registered nurse, that will be fine. I've done it for friends & neighbours that I know before now.

dragoness
GPs now tend to charge for certifying documents, as this time comes out of the time for seeing patients.
the_mandarin
Can this be done at banks, or do they also charge for this?
Guest
Why not try your Doctor? Yeah, the doctor won't be busy.
lawro
The easiest option is the pharmacist, they usually ask for a donation to charity
Berberis
Yeah, the doctor won't be busy. its not like you have to make an appointment. You take the document to the practice and they doctor does whatever they need in a few seconds.
iansheff
If you ask a professional person to do it I thought you had to have known the person for so long. I know if you sign for a driving licence for someone the form asks how long you have known the person, or it used to do.
