Good grief. I would hope that HMRC aren't so lax as to not know about that anyway, or we really are up the proverbial creek.

 

Ah but if you fail to include on your tax form your pensions and your savings that are taxed at source, it is very likely that the taxman who taxed them at source will forget that you are a high rate tax payer.

How do you expect them to know if it isn't declared?

 

Sorry Cyclone. I made an assumption that it was state pension which can be looked up inter-departmentally. I should have considered it may have been a private pension.
