Where can I get ceramics/pottery vaued?

Hi all,

 

My Grandmother has sorted out a box of old ornaments that she no longer wants and has asked me to sell them. I have no idea where to get this sort of thing valued so I wondered if anybody could advise me please?

Have a look online to see if it's even worth anything in the first place??

 

A nice complete China tea set would be worth a few bob for example.

Thanks for the reply. I've been looking online fora while now and there are a few pieces that are very old and well known makes and look to be worth something.

 

The sites I've been on vary quite widely with the values which is why I'm looking for somewhere local where people can see the pieces properly.

 

Most of the pieces are ornaments, with the odd milk jug etc.

Take them to ELR Auctions or Dowse Auctions.Both of these are more or less together at the bottom of Chesterfield Road.
