Client who uses every excuse under the sun not to pay!

Recommended Posts

Update.

so unfortunately agreed date range has passed today. Client hasnt said anything or notified.

They now have untill friday to pay in full or it goes to money claim Friday. Also going to see what extras I can add.

The other thing is client has negotiated work to start wednesday!

You couldnt make it up could you?:loopy:

like i said before issue a statutory demand, you can do it yourself its much quicker and far more effective than debt collector companies.

Name and shame them, I think business's should have a free access black book of clients that don't pay, to prevent them doing it to others.

It's getting to the crux because they've requested more work. Essentially on tick

They now have to pay what's due before we will even consider doing more work.

I will know very soon what's happening in terms of dates. An email is due and a scheduled phone call.

The excuses range from

Ignoring emails

Being evasive like deflecting the question

Cash flow

Family issues, this was once and I ignored it was so stupid

Claiming poverty

Send invoices to my accountant

Stalling by questioning every item on billing

Questioning original agreement

We get everything on paper so there is no escape!

But a bird in the hand and all that....

There is issues with the business. I don't want any nasty surprises and to find out I win a money claim, but get zilch

Sounds like they ate trying to take you to the cleaners mate, i wouldnt do anymore work for them as it sounds like there not going to pay.
