Dv108
I'm trying set up a touchscreen till with Ubuntu. The till came with windows xp. Everything is fine with Ubuntu, other than the rather vital touchscreen, it doesn't work. Anyone have any idea of how to get it going? I've looked at Ubuntu forums but I'm too new to this to know what to do next
tzijlstra
You might have some difficulty here because that is a rather specialist piece of kit. It does however appear that Elo do a linux driver, that is where I would start rather than at Ubuntu, that said, see how far you get with installing it and if it doesn't seem to work the way you want, do use the Ubuntu forums as the people there are really nice and knowledgeable in my experience. allysum
Is this a serial RS-232 connected screen or the USB version? Edited August 28, 2015 by allysum

AlexAtkin
Have you checked the Wiki? https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Touchscreen Right near the top of Google search results.
Dv108
Hi Alex and Mozala, yep, I've tried both of your suggestions but I couldn't make the Ubuntu wiki stuff work. And the manufacturers info is way out of date. Thanks for having a look for me. I have a friend who's having a go at now, fingers crossed!
AlexAtkin
Based on my own past experience, if its a serial device I could only get it working with TouchKit but that was for kernel 2.6 and Xorg from the same period. So I wouldn't expect it to work on current Linux versions, although I guess its worth a shot. Edited June 29, 2015 by AlexAtkin
