smary
When I select multiple files by holding down the ctrl key I get so far but then it produces a second copy of the folder or file!! Where am I going wrong?
Ghozer
As you are scrolling down and selecting the next, if you accidentally click and drag ONE of them, even very slightly, it will create a copy of all the highlighted ones... You have to be careful not to click and drag while doing it... The other option, is selecting the first one, then while holding CTRL, use the cursor keys, and SPACE to select each one, this avoids accidental mouse drags... ccit
This might make things easier: * In Windows Explorer go to Tools * Folder options * View * Advanced settings * Scroll down until you see 'Use check boxes to select items' - please a tick in the box beside it * OK Each folder or item will now have a small box above and to the left of it. You can place a tick into each one that you want to move.
Gleadly
It's slightly easier with 8.1 Open Windows Explorer Select View then tick "Items Checked Boxes" The check box for each file will only show once you move the cursor over it, or you can click the "Name" box to select all files in that folder.
