fairyworld14
There was a power cut last night where I live & eventually it came back on but this morning my landline phone is making a screeching noise . I have been on line to Sky to troubleshoot & there isn't a problem with Sky end . They suggested it was the phone . I have tried unplugging it & leaving it for a while but it still making a row. Any suggestions. Thanks

ubergeek
Report it as a fault to your phone provider after you have carried out the steps listed here: http://btbusiness.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8552/~/my-phone's-working-but-there-are-noises%2Fstatic-on-the-line.-could-this-be-due ---------- Post added 17-02-2014 at 14:23 ---------- Also, unless you can borrow another known-working phone from someone to test (preferably not a cordless one), you won't get much joy from BT, as if they send an engineer to fault find and it does turn out to be your phone that's at fault, you'll be billed for the call-out.
