Paul Blade
You really want to get the update problem sorted. It's not advisable to miss updates as they keep your system secure. If its stopping every time at 16% sounds like a corrupt d/l stopping it carrying on OP try doing a manual update 1 at a time starting with the first and when you get to where it won't d/l then put that one on hide then auto should complete
fairyworld14
Right , I will do that . I have put it on the system where I do it myself so I will try that way . I know its important to have updates so I will keep trying . By doing it manually will it automatically do it one at a time then ?
megalithic
Go to start > control panel > Windows updates, then click on the writing which will say xx amount of important updates available, you'll then see a list. Tick and install one update at a time, if one wont go on then right click it and select "hide". You can always go back and try the problem one when the others are installed.
