Does anyone still buy Bric-a-brac from people?

A relative of mine has an attic full of old stuff (some of it good working stuff whole or parts) that might be of interest for sale to someone who collects/sells retro stuff or scraps it?

 

He has old record players, old box cameras and all sorts of electrical parts and components. He was hoping to make at least some money from it, perhaps not even much if at all, but doesn't know where to start?
