Gunshots heard last night by wharncliff pub

Yes it was a drive by shooting outside Wharncliffe, no one was injured (apart from the wall).

We was all locked in the pub and wasn't allowed to leave until police had spoken to us.

I dunno, they found an agoraphobic 87 year old woman to comment on it, which of course is representative of all the views of the people in the area :rolleyes:

An 87yr old lady hears there's been a shooting a few doors away and she's agoraphobic because she says the street has changed??

 

The world has changed unfortunately for her. She's come from a world where people would lend to neighbours even though she had little herself, she's come from a world were she could leave her doors open at night. I'd say she's being pretty tolerant to changing times in using the wording she has used. I'd be terrified if somebody started blasting bullets around Willy nilly a few doors away. Poor lady.

... the main difference being that the information the police receive only tends to result in charging the accused parties and not the general public.
