denlin Posted September 4, 2010 Share Posted September 4, 2010 We actually spent most of the first two years in the school on Ecclesfield High St (Ecclesfield Junior?) which was being used as an annexe for Echo Grammar while the main school was was being renovated. They built the Science Block in 1963 if I remember correctly. We used to get called 'Grammar Grubs' by the Colley Secondary Modern pupils, they didn't like us very much. I did actually call in the school a few years ago but it was closed for holidays. I went up the drive to the old building and got this horrible feeling that I was being watched by some ghostly spectre from my past. But when they get back on the road, the cab driver starts crying. 'My dear child,' says the nun, 'why are you crying?' 'Forgive me but I've sinned. I lied and I must confess, I'm married and I'm Jewish.' The nun says, 'That's OK. My name is Kevin and I'm going to a fancy dress party.' are you in the right thread although the joke is quite funny?
