diezeltruck   10 #6 Posted February 12, 2013 when i did the mile they were 22 or 23 pubs  Which period would this have been, Kerry?  I ask the question about The Brampton Mile, after someone mentioned The Eccles Mile, in a local pub and said there were about 26 pubs on it, Eccles that is.  I googled the "Eccles Mile" and there were no links to it at all, but "The Brampton Mile" was mentioned in loads of places.  Could the BM have held the record for the most pubs within a mile stretch? alchresearch   215 #7 Posted February 13, 2013 Definitely a regional thing. The first thing I thought of when I saw the title was the Brampton Straight Mile - a long straight road running to Brampton E-L Morthern near Rotherham.
