SIBA - the Society of Independent Brewers - are holding their annual conference and awards ceremony in Sheffield in March 2013 and as part of this there will be a Beer Festival in Ponds Forge open to the public.

The BeerX will showcase about 500 craft beers from independent British breweries that are SIBA members across the cask, keg and bottled format and of all styles of ale, lager etc.

The British brewing scene has never been more exciting, with hundreds of brewers producing thousands of distinctive, flavoursome beers ranging from light golden ales and delicate lagers to dark, rich stouts. And there’s never been a better way to enjoy British beer than BeerX, the new Festival of Beer coming to Sheffield in March 2013.

BeerX is a new event designed to highlight the best of British brewing. For the first time ever, hundreds of brewers belonging to the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA), are showcasing their beers in one place – Ponds Forge, Sheffield. For many of these beers, this is the journey of a lifetime, undertaken to create a unique experience for beer lovers and novices alike.

Open Thursday 14th March 5pm-11pm, Friday 15th March 5pm-11pm and Saturday 16th March 12pm-5pm and 6pm-11pm.

Admission is £5, with a discounted rate of £3 available to members of CAMRA, NUS and the armed forces. Ticket price includes entry, glass and programme. Advance tickets are available to buy online.
