Also, is it possibly to put shortcuts (aliases) to Apple Scripts in it?

The dock is the long thing across the bottom. I mean the long thing at the top, it's narrower than the dock...

The Dock is where often used and currently running programs appear. It can also be on the side and hidden (like mine) only appearing when the mouse goes to the screen edge. Dock trick... hold shift when minimizing or maximizing from the Dock to see the animation in slow motion.

 

There's also the Application Switcher which only appears when Shift & Tab keys are pressed.

The official name is "Universal Menu Bar".

If you go in to the AppleScript Editor preferences there should be an option to enable showing the script menu which puts an extra item in the menu bar that allows you to access scripts if they're put in the right place in the file system.
