Does anyone know what happened to Jack Greaves and his sister Marion? I was their neighbour 40 years ago. Kieth with the White Merc was my driver when I was doing the school runs. My Husband Tony Crookes used to drive a black cab initially for Burton Street garage, then bought his own, Very happy times unfortunatly Tony died last year.....

when norman hattersley had it

does anyone remember any of the old staff who worked there

and does abbey still exist????

i worked for ABBEY TAXIS at the time "BABS" was on the radio, my call sign was "61" i also had another channel that was used if there was any good earners I.E. manchester airport or midlands airport runs, "BABS" used to give us a special message which we then would switch to another channel that none of the other drivers knew of !!! i got loads of "other work" that way, we drove cortina's then that were owned by MR hattersley, the only other driver i knew then was BILLY KIDD, I too used to work the radio when they were short staffed, good times remembered.
