Laddo   10 #18 Posted August 12, 2010 Yeah I saw them at about 2pm today going past the town hall. The 2 cars they were guarding only had drivers in so surely they must just be practising for something.
 Share this content via...
samsparro   10 #19 Posted August 12, 2010 Isn't it just the police practising how to escort a VIP through the city? I seem to remember this sort of thing happening a lot when the G8 met in Sheffield a few years ago: Or it could just be Nick Clegg looking for a speedy getaway from Forgemasters...  Or it could be that there was a fresh delivery of doughnuts at the Police station!  Bingo..... give that man a carrot! Vague_Boy   10 #20 Posted August 12, 2010 'guarding' 2 unmarked police cars (both BMW's)  If they were unmarked, how did you know they were police cars. Isn't that the point of an unmarked car?  It was probably the chief of Walls' pie-making division being given a VIP guard of honour by his most devoted customers. 8751 Â Â 10 #23 Posted August 12, 2010 I saw them today (Friday) on Hanover Way at around 2:45pm. Given the number of Police motorcyclists it looks like a training exercise for them or training new ones.
 Share this content via...
