Photofit Ed
With many franchises it depends how much competition there is in your local area. If you get the right franchise in the right area you could be onto a winner. They can however be very demanding.
Alextopman
When I was 30 years old I bought a Franchised business and was contracted to them for 5 years. I soon realised they were taking a large part of my income for very little help and back up. After the 5 years was up I didn't renew with them and carried on independently. It was a learning curve and sometime you have to pay to learn.
tlangdon12
A good franchiser will provide you will lots of help and support. A bad one will, as the previous poster found, just take a cut without poviding you with much in return. The best way to figure out whether the franchiser is good is to talk to other franchisees, ideally ones that have been trading for a while and have had the opportunity to move away from the franchiser, but haven't done so.
