Anyone fancy a regular meet up to walk/socialise our dogs?

Hi we'll def try and make it - the later the better as I've taken the Sunday off work for a friend's birthday celebration on Saturday which I guess will be a late one...

Not sure about this one, I don't have muzzles for mine and Kai has her issues so think we may have to give it a miss which is a shame, on another note had a fantastic couple of weeks which have seen Kai play chase and make friends with an English Pointer and a woodland walk with 25+ dogs

Sorry been busy with my boiler, don't ask!! Can we say 2pm that should give me time to get over to Eccy Woods from Rother Valley Park. Max is going to think all his Christmas's have come at once!!

 

Oh and I will bring his muzzle just in case.

I personally think yours do not need a muzzle. They have always been fine. I think it is for the dogs that will nip and start fights. Kai has always been really good, I have never seen her in a fight or start one. D will attack another dog if it is rude to him and body check other dogs to get a reaction that is why he wears a muzzle, as he would also finish the fight if he was allowed.

 

I am just very aware we as a group we are growing in the number of large dogs (4 stone plus) and want to make sure smaller dogs are safe and more importantly owners are safe as two dogs fighting are not safe for anyone and can cost a lot of money and distress for another dog and damage to owner and dog We are mixing dogs that have socialisation problems and we need to be prepared and protect against risk as well as enjoy our dogs playing and learning how to interact.

 

I have loads of size eight muzzles if anyone needs to borrow one! (large labrador/ small GSH size)

EDIT: Just realised I have double booked myself! I'm already going on an organised dog walk with another group

 

I still might be able to make it if I get back in time to join you as it is in the morning!
