Titanic99
From next Monday new changes are being introduced that will make some of the poorest families and Pensioners better off. The legislation that is being introduced will disregard Child Benefit for a high number of Claimants as well as disregarding higher levels of Capital foe Pensioners. Well done to them for doing this, let’s hope that those who benefit from it aren’t stupid enough to vote for others parties that would prefer to re-distribute money from the poor back to the well-off. http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/in-your-area/benefits/whats-new#chilbenefitdisregard
anarchist
Well as the Labour Government caused most of them to be less well off in the first place it is the least they can do.

I see you got out of the left side of your bed today with your support for helping the poor. Never mind tomorrow you'll get out of the right side and tell us all that this is wrong and that we shouldn't be helping the poor.

tonkatoy
It's take 12 years to do this, there must be an election around the corner Quite. 12 year in which the gap between rich and poor has increased significantly, then all of a sudden an initiative that will be left to the next government to implement. It won't happen. Brown and Blair talked the talk but delivered bugger all.
fox20thc
Quite. 12 year in which the gap between rich and poor has increased significantly, then all of a sudden an initiative that will be left to the next government to implement. It won't happen. Brown and Blair talked the talk but delivered bugger all. On the contrary, as a mother who unfortunately found themselves a suprise single mother, it afforded me the ability to continue in work with childcare and CTC top ups to continue to work and provide for my family. They delivered alot to me, childcare support and the flexible family working policy which has meant I was able to work and take care of my children with neither suffering.
