Carborundum
You really are a sarcastic sod aren't you,do you ever post anything positive? I did not mean to be sarcastic - I was just querying the wisdom of this decision ...

Starquake
Walked past it today and it had two 'doormen' on - if that's what they were - certainly didn't look inviting, but I generally make a point of not drinking in any establishment that requires bouncers anyway. It must be bad if they have to employ doorman on a week day afternoon.I think I'll give it a miss.

Starquake
ive used the pub for last 30 or so years im 60 now never seen much trouble Maybe - but why go to the expense of employing 'doormen' if trouble isn't expected or needs sorting out? Hence my theory that if they do have to, I don't want to go in.

Go visit the place its quite safe and its looking much nicer inside than in the past.

bladegirl1
thats true with the pubs past reputation no one does seem to want to go in there, but you can't judge anything i suppose until you have seen for yourself what it is like.
