honeyb35
There used to be one called Hyway or Highway who was really cheap. He had a fairly old Escort and charged about £9 a lesson I think (six years ago). Personally I learned with Walkley School of Motoring. That was six years ago and he charged £14 a lesson but he was excellent - I got through my test first time and put it down to his good teaching ability. he's still going - i see him around still with the escort. he used to have a really old nissan bluebird too! I learned with BSM, not cheap, but it was ok. Pot luck to who you get for instructors though. I had a horrid one, who I had one lesson with and ended up with him shouting at me so I refused to use him again! They then sent out another bloke who was great, very patient. I'd avoid John Dale too, although I'll probably get shouted at for saying that
stressed_mum
well my instructor is highly recommended although because he is so good he does get full, if you want his direct number instead of going through Bill Plant themselves PM me & I'll give it to you. you get your 1st 5 lessons for £56 & then it's £19.50 per lesson after that, & bearing in mind he is an ADI, he trains the instructors too so you know he's qualified not an unqualified trainee as was put in saxons link on another post!! lisajaynec
My daughters having lessons with Michaels school of driving 0114 2644444, hes very patient and has never let her down. He takes her out driving for well above the hour lesson unlike her friends instuctors who spend half the lesson parked up talking. He loaned her the thory cd and she passed that first time 2 months ago. Highly recommended

singo
Hi Woodstock, I'm an ADI who lives in your area. If your youngest wants to do their test in either Rotherham or Sheffield, either of these would be no problem. If you want any more information from me, just drop me a PM and I'll answer any questions you have.
