How hot is Gas mark 5?

Having a quiche for tea, and on the box it say's Gas mark 5 to cook. The problem is my oven is gas but it just say's the tempreture, and the added problem is all the markings have rubbed off on the cooker:help:

Mark 5 is a medium oven Wren, so whack it in to a preheated oven @ about 180. Enjoy..but don't kick me if it's over/under cooked!

I've burnt it and thrown it in the bin. I put in the oven for 45 mins as it said on the tin:confused:Now settled for beans on toast

is it fan assisted? if so, they generally cook quicker. bit like 11 AND turbo-charged
