handypandy Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 I worked at Fine Fare in Firth Park in the late 60's. Rod Taylor took over as manager there when the very camp Roger Coker emigrated to Oz. Rod must have married around '68 as I remember going to his stag do at the Bowling Alley above the store. (we knew how to party !!) I recall working some daft hours at the attercliffe store during a reorganization after Fine Fare bought Carlines out. Any old staff on here from Firth Park?
bryan@askham Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Yup, I remember Carlines, opposite Attercliffe FineFare and also Rod being manager at Firth Park. The last time I saw him, he was managing FineFare in Retford, probably about thirty years ago.

terrycarter Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 From 1966 to 1970 I worked at various Fine Fare Stores in the Sheffield area (mainly Firth Park, Woodseats, Parson's Cross, Rotherham and Attercliffe.) and I worked with both Roger Coked and Rod Taylor. I also briefly met Roger Coker in Sydney in 1971.
