Some Photos of Mine

Recommended Posts

Only recently noticed that this forum was here, so thought I'd post a few of my photos. I don't claim to have all that much skill to speak of, but I'm quite happy with the way most of these came out.

First, some close-up 'nature' shots :

And lastly, my favourite, the Blue Mosque in Istanbul :

Hope you like ! Grateful for any feedback.

Can I ask what camera you use?

And are you using a polarising filter?

Many thanks for the replies, guys. Glad you liked the pics.

The camera I use is a Canon Powershot A620, so pretty much just a point and shoot. So no filters etc used when taking the pictures - all processing done later in Photoshop.

The Millhouses Park photo was one of those 'happy accidents' that occur when you're just playing around. The original photo was an almost monochrome frosty picture, and just randomly-ish fiddling with things resulted in the final slightly ethereal look you see here. Trouble with 'accidental' effects like those, however, is that I probably couldn't do it again if I tried for hours !
