clairee
you will be hard pushed to find the "loft style" apartments in rotherham more money has been pumped into Sheffield as it is a lot bigger, if you live in rotherham you will spend a lot of your time coming into Sheffield etc for nights out. Good luck looking for somewhere

Alex Don't forget Ivy Tilsley, Paul Shane, Jeremy Clarkson, & Duggy Brown! All Rotherhamites! I have to say there are some very nice new appartments being completed in my neck of the woods at The Stag (out of town) along the East Bawtry Road end.. This remains a very nice area & the house prices reflect that. It has ofstead recommended schools & the local GP practice is excellent. There are some good Family restaurants in this area & it's between the M18 & M1 for convenience. I'm a snob & I wouldn't live here if it was crap

Cyclone
if you want to live close in to a city centre then i'd say Sheffield. If you're looking at being a bit further out then Sheffield or Rotherham makes little difference, they both have nice and nasty suburbs.
