You must be lost for words you are quoting me.I think we have gone full circle.

If only. However you have casted aspersions on my character, inferring that I am a thief and that you are morally and socially better than myself. Then you take the hump because I own my own company. If anyone is misguided, it's you.

It must be great to be you. I bet you look in the mirror daily and think to yourself "Wow I'm such an upstanding member of the UK population. I bet the queen will be handing me my OBE any day now".

This happened to me tonight !!

Ive just got back from a night out and thought Id check out the forum

Amazing

I didnt even need to search it was the 4th thread down

OK I got on a bus and paid a pound

When I looked at my ticket it was an OAP one

I got off and phoned the number on the ticket

They werent bothered and transferred me to a different extension at First

This person wasnt bothered either

If I wanted to I can call back tomorrow to talk to a manager !!!!!!!!

What????

OK so taking a pound off me isnt a big deal

On the other hand it is dishonest and makes me wonder what else the driver is doing illegally

Its also possible he isnt even a driver and has stolen the bus

Unlikely but possible

I suggested this to First and was still told to call back tomorrow

I have kept the ticket and memorised the number on the back of the bus

ANy comments on what I should do?

First cant be bothered

Why should I be?

no this would not happen, the driver would be removed from duty and subsequently questioned about his thieving ways, he takes a chance, he pays the price. Unless ofcourse you actually look like the type of person that dodges paying their fare.

I don't believe you. Inspectors don't guess that the driver hasn't issued a fair, they fine the person travelling without a ticket.

Maybe subsequently the driver gets investigated, but if you travel with no ticket then you're the one liable for the penalty fare.

Anyway, there's no argument that justifies theft. If a driver thinks they don't get paid enough, quit and go and get another job.
